Chipton-Ross is seeking a Painter for a contract opportunity in Archbald, PA.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coat surfaces of parts, assemblies, and finished products using spray gun, brush, or roller
• Assist with paint prep including cleaning, masking/unmasking, and tapping holes
• Use solvents, aqueous cleaners, and abrasive blasting to clean parts
• Apply localized tin plating and perform light mechanical assembly
• Wash, mask, shot/abrasive blast, and apply metal flame spray per manufacturing instructions
• Mark components using silk screen, stencil, or pad printing methods
• Create paper stencils and apply markings using various inks and paints
• Ensure quality in accordance with statistical process or control procedures

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with silk screen, stenciling, pad or other printing processes
• Use of grinding tools for metal finishing
• Mix and spray various types of paints and primers to precise tolerances
• Experience applying metal flame spray to parts and welded structures

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited High School Diploma or Equivalent

WORK HOURS:

• 4/10 work schedule
• 2nd Shift
• Monday–Thursday, 4:18 PM – 2:48 AM EST

• Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and sketches, including paint, marking, plating, and touch-up instructions
• Ability to differentiate between thread sizes, pitch, metric, and standard threads
• Ability to work safely with chemicals such as solvents, acidic and alkaline solutions, and aqueous cleaners
• Ability to qualify and retain process certifications
• Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and thickness gauges
