Senior Developer

Job Description:

DPP is seeking a Senior Developer for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work arrangement:

Partial onsite: 2-3 days onsite per week.
W2 position; 12 months

Position summary:

The Senior Developer will perform system management, user management, maintenance and support, and performance monitoring for an SAS server.
The ideal candidate has advanced analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing (might present to the SAS user group).
Able to work well under pressure individually and as part of a team.
Extensive knowledge of interpersonal skills/team building. Familiar with project management concepts.
Work hours: Monday thru Friday 8:00-5:00 - plus potential overtime, on call, weekends

About the team:

There are six members of the BI team that currently support business objects and tableau.
This is a collaborative group with a strong sense of teamwork and support. They are goal driven and a high trust team expecting each other to do their jobs well including reaching out with questions or seeking help as needed.

Required technologies:

Application administration for Base SAS server
SAS Metadata Server
SAS Office Analytics running on Windows Server

Nice to have:

Database Management Systems (DBMS): Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, etc.
Programming Languages: Python (via SASPy), R, Java.

Minimum required work experience:

8 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience

Required education/equivalencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 12 years without a degree)
