GRINDER
Morson are exclusively recruiting for a apprentice served professional  based at their Wolverhampton site. This is a 6 month contract although highly likely to be long-term/temporary to permanent. 
GRINDER -  Shift Pattern (37 hours) /Pay rates:
Starting on Weekdays (22.87 per hour PAYE plus holiday pay 3.33 per hour/31.18 per hour Umbrella) Moving onto Earlies and Lates rotated weekly:
Shift uplift: 26.18 per hour PAYE plus holiday - 3.81 per hour / 35.70 per hour Umbrella)
Earlies: Monday-Thursday 6am-1.15pm, 6am-1pm Friday -
Lates: Monday-Thursday 1.15 -9pm, 1 -7pm Friday

CNC Machinists Client role overview :
 • Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes to turn down aerospace parts to exact dimensions. 
 • Operate surface grinding machines to achieve flatness and surface finish requirements. 
 • Interpret and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and process specifications. 
 • Follow process layouts, work instructions, and comply with quality standards. 
 • Validate parts using measurement systems and ensure adherence to specifications. 
 • Carry out in-process inspection and documentation to ensure conformity and traceability. 
 • Collaborate with engineers to support new product introductions and continuous improvement. 
 • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with 5S and health & safety policies. 
 • Perform basic first-line maintenance on machines and assist with TPM activities. 
 • Support personal and team skill development, while maintaining high safety standards. 
 What will you bring to the role? 
 Essential skills: 
 • Minimum 3 years experience setting and operating CNC grinders in a precision engineering environment. 
 • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. 
 • High attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
 • Ability to work to tight tolerances and exact specifications. 
 Desirable skills: 
 • Apprentice trained background. 
 • Experience with Jones & Shipman machinery (preferred but not essential). 
 • Familiarity with measurement systems. 
 • Flexibility to support various duties within the cell based on workload.
