Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Quality Control Inspector - Hawaii
Department: Quality Control
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Manager, Quality Control
Up to $10,000 Relocation & $5,000 Sign-on Bonus Available
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for monitoring the quality of the maintenance, preventive maintenance, major repairs and alterations programs to ensure safety and compliance standards for safe operations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing work order packets and work cards for correct completion for the assigned region.
- Make available to all maintenance personnel the required technical data for the maintenance being accomplished and keep the data current with the latest revisions.
- Own and manage the Tooling Calibration Program specific to the assigned region.
- Ascertains that the proper inspection records, reports and forms used by the operator are properly executed and presented to the individual with Airworthiness Release Authority.
- Assist the Manager, Quality Control with compiling reports and investigations whenever necessary for the CASS Review Board (CRB);
- In the absence of the Manager, Quality Control, participates in the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with the responsibilities detailed in the Safety Management System Manual.
- As assigned by Manager, Quality Control, manage the review and setup of Airworthiness Directive (AD) list and scheduling of compliance requirements, for acquisition aircraft.
- Manage company modification requirements to embody STC’s, EO’s, SB’s, etc.
- Aid in revising manuals whenever necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Quality Control
Requirements:
- Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required
- Familiar with Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (Parts 43, 91, and 135) as it pertains to aircraft maintenance.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel and power point).
- Working knowledge of a Maintenance Tracking Systems such as Flightdoc and CAMP
Travel: This position requires travel up to 15-20 of work time.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in aviation in a Part 121/135/145 operation. At least two years of which is in a quality control / quality assurance role.
Miscellaneous Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by airline regulations and company policies.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1968.
- Southern Airways participates in E-Verify.
- Fluency in English.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Computer, office equipment, phone skills.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; to stand, walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, handle objects, tools, to reach with hands and arms; and to lift or move 50 pounds.
- Ability to work within a 24/7 operation, including holidays.
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements related to aircraft weight limitations before and during employment.
