Job: Procurement Professional (12-Month Contract – Look to extend / Perm )

Pay: 24 per hour PAYE
Contract Duration: 12 months

We&8217;re looking for a dedicated Procurement Professional to join our team in Glascoed. This 12-month contract is an excellent opportunity for someone with procurement experience who wants to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. You&8217;ll be a key part of our Procurement Delivery Team, executing sourcing processes and managing supplier performance to ensure we meet our project and production goals.

The Role
Reporting to a Procurement Delivery Lead, you&8217;ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a specific category and its suppliers. Your work will directly impact performance in key areas like Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. This is a hands-on role where you&8217;ll gain valuable experience in a structured procurement environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Sourcing & Contracts: Work on current contracts, support new business bids, and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Supplier Management: Manage and monitor supplier relationships and performance using KPIs, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Help optimize the supply chain by balancing inventory, managing supply orders, and meeting schedule demand.
• Data & Systems: Use SAP to create and maintain purchase orders, agreements, and other critical procurement data.
• Problem-Solving: Resolve operational issues and proactively identify and manage obsolescence with suppliers.

What We&8217;re Looking For
• Experience: You should have relevant procurement and contract management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or defense environment. Experience working with SAP is essential.
• Qualifications: Ideally, you are working towards or already hold an MCIPS qualification.
• Skills: You need to be a strong communicator with a talent for negotiation and problem-solving. We are looking for someone who can work independently under pressure and influence stakeholders. A solid understanding of supplier relationship management tools and techniques is a must.
