Magellan Aerospace (Tumkur) Private Limited is looking for Purchase Engineers from Aerospace division with 2-4 years of experience.  The detailed JD is as below :-
- Coordinating the acquisition of tools, equipment, and materials needed for operations in aerospace engineering.
 - Generating RFQs, Convert Purchase Request raised from various departments to Purchase orders, follow ups, on time delivery, Supplier evaluation.
 - Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
 - Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality.
 - Coordinate with vendor on continuous quality improvement.
 - Involved in handling major AMC purchase orders on time to continuous support of software
 - Analyze all suppliers to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality
 - products at competitive pricing.
 - Service Spare arrangement for in warranty/out warranty machine on time ensuring immediate support for breakdown of machine.
 - Evaluate the availability of materials against the store stock and BOM report.
 - Reasonable knowledge on technical aspects of materials, tools, gauges.
 - Process all purchase orders for Engineering, Maintenance and Stores Departments.
 - Contact suppliers to resolve missed deliveries, short shipments and pricing Discrepancies.
 - Arrange expedited shipments to prevent unscheduled manufacturing downtime.
 - Worked with accounting personnel in resolving invoice discrepancies.
 - Conducting supplier audits based on the performance.
 - Looking After Subcontracting for Special Process, Machining, Part Marking & HT.
 - Arranging Logistics & Transport for the movement of Parts.
 - Updating & Sharing the Outstanding Part report to Directors.
 - Maintaining the purchasing policy and ensuring that all purchases adhere to it.
 - Review deliveries against the orders
 - To be aware of ISO 14001 – 2015 standards
 - To be aware about the aspect & impact pertaining to EMS in the particular function
 
Job skills & qualification
Education qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or above preferred
Experience: Minimum 2- 4 years of experience in purchase domain (Aerospace domain preferred)
