The Revenue Management team is responsible for maximizing ticket and ancillary revenue for every flight within Norwegian’s route network.

As a Revenue Analyst you are a vital part of this team, and you are responsible for a given route portfolio.

For your given set of spanets, and for each route, departure date, and specific flight, you will determine the optimal fare to sell at any given moment in time to maximize the flight’s revenue.

You have a clear understanding of the relationship between price and volume and supply and demand. You have a big influence on setting standards and processes, actively using the optimization system and engaging in a regular dialogue with other departments to find ways to drive and optimize revenue.

The position is located at our office in Fornebu and reports to Director Revenue Optimization Norway.

You are our ideal candidate if you have:

  • A university degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, or general business studies
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in revenue management or analytical roles; however, talented recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use available information to make rational decisions, identify areas of improvement and take appropriate action
  • Commercially driven, goal-oriented and proactive
  • Decisive and able to prioritize in tough situations and can handle stress
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Great teamwork skills
  • A genuine interest in the aviation industry

In this role you will be responsible for:

Long-term strategic optimization

  • Define business plan and top line budget for your route portfolio in collaboration with other commercial stakeholders, aiming to maximize total revenue
  • Define and evaluate price points per route and spanet
  • Define rate and availability strategy in all distribution channels
  • Understand and influence the forecasting of ticket revenue
  • Support Network in making commercial decisions for specific routes and spanets
  • Analyse and follow up/take action on business mix, revenue and RASK development on all assigned routes
  • Communicate needs and deviations to a wide group of stakeholders in the organization and suggest activities to support and drive revenue.

Short-term optimization of prices- daily yielding

  • Monitor the spanet and competition: Continuously analyse competitive sets, price positioning and seasonality
  • Actively work with systems to analyse booking pace, manage fares and availability to optimize revenue
  • Manage prices and availability in all distribution channels

Reporting and communication

  • Analyse and comment on performance
  • Prepare for and participate in cross-commercial and internal meetings
  • Engage in a regular dialogue with other internal stakeholders in the organization, and ensure that they are informed about spanet development, revenue development and needs
  • Engage in best practice sharing and dialogue within the revenue teams
  • Engage related analysis/projects as required
  • Maintain good dialogue with other relevant departments
